 Agriculture is the single largest user of freshwater resources, using a global average of 70% of all surface water supplies.  

  The use of fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides in large commercial industrial farming has damaged the environment beyond repair. 

It takes a lot of energy to produce food, so if we waste food we waste energy
